North Spore's Golden Oyster Liquid Culture contains active Pleurotus citrinopileatus mycelium in a nutrient-rich medium and can be stored in the fridge. Inject it into a sterile, humid growing medium and this culture will rapidly grow into a large, dense mycelium cake capable of producing multiple flushes of large, vibrant golden mushrooms in a matter of weeks.

How to Use Golden Oyster Liquid Culture

All North Spore liquid cultures are sterilized and ship in sealed plastic sleeves. Store your liquid culture syringe in the refrigerator until use for up to 2 months. Before using your culture, agitate the syringe to disperse the mycelium, then inject it through a sterile, self-healing injection port into your mushroom grow bag, jar, tub, or bucket. If you decide to use a single syringe for multiple inoculations, remember to sterilize your syringe before and after each use.

Remember that contamination is the #1 cause of failed mushroom cultivation. Hence, it's important that you always work in sanitized conditions and use sterilized tools and media. For the best results, we recommend inoculating your grow medium in a still air box.
