Kronkel

As a staple in the cannabis community of Nijmegen, Kronkel has been dishing out high-quality herb since 1986. Next is Dreadlock & Jetset. Located right in the centre of Nijmegen, this coffeeshop offers a well-stocked selection of weed, hash, and delicious edibles. Right by the historical Hunner Park, Headshop is the fourth stop on our coffeeshop tour of Nijmegen. This spacious shop offers plenty to passersby. Kruidentuin

With decor rivalling even the most upmarket cocktail bars, Kruidentuin shows that coffeeshops can be stylish and modern but also welcoming and accessible. With a menu that boasts a wide variety of strains and hash, Kruidentuin also serves up various drinks and has ample seating space to chill out and watch some TV. However, there is a tiny caveat; parking can be a little tricky. So use public transport or take a walk to Kruidentuin, settle in, and spend an afternoon (or evening) enjoying the experience.

Buggy

Established way back in 1984, Buggy is also another coffeeshop hotspot that locals and tourists just can't seem to get enough of. With its unmistakable dune buggy graphic in the window, this is a welcoming and relaxing coffeeshop that you should definitely make a point of visiting while in Nijmegen. The selection is not as extensive as some of the other coffeeshops on our list, but what Buggy does, it does very well. Ketama

‘t Wonder

You can always move on once you've bought what you need, but why leave so soon? The glassed-off smoking area is one of the highlights of this coffeeshop and is ideal for taking a seat, grabbing a board game, and having a coffee.

De Wedren

This two-story coffeeshop is located right by Julianapark and the central train station, making it the perfect choice for new visitors to check out while they walk around Nijmegen. Head up the stairs, and you'll find the bar area where you can order the finest weed, hash, and other supplies you might need. With ample seating available, there's plenty of room to unwind while in De Wedren. So roll up a fat joint and take in the views of Nijmegen through the massive windows by the seating area.

Lucky Luke

As a character that's well known throughout Europe, Lucky Luke is a cartoon cowboy who's the mascot of this particular coffeeshop. As soon as you step inside, you'll see plenty of artwork with this unmistakable cowboy. A little further, you'll find the bar. With plenty of hash and weed options to choose from, there's a lot on offer for casual smokers and serious stoners alike. With just a couple of tables available, there's not much room in Lucky Luke, so many people just “grab and go”. But don't let a lack of space put you off a visit, as there are plenty of reasons to keep coming back to Lucky Luke.

Jamaica

Follow the green glow! If you're around the city centre in the evening, you'll no doubt see the unmistakable green lights emanating from the Jamaica coffeeshop.
