Barney's Farm - Bubba Kush: Short In Stature But Big Where It Counts
The good folks at Barney's Farm have recently come out with their feminized variety of Bubba Kush, a indica-dominant strain that's captured the hearts and minds of stoners for decades. It's a flavourful and aromatic plant that has some impressive genetics; derived from Afghan Kush Landrace mixed with OG Kush, Bubba Kush takes the finest parts of its parentage and produces sweet, earthy, and impressively large buds.
Growing Bubba Kush is nothing short of a joy. It requires very little in the way of maintenance throughout its growing cycle (other than the occasional pruning). It is robust and tough enough to be grown in many different climates and environments. Regardless of your preference for growing inside or outdoors, Bubba Kush will perform. Not an overly tall plant, it won't outgrow or impose in a growing area. In just a period of 8-9 weeks, it'll be ready to yield indoors. At that point, you can expect some hearty returns with an average of 550–600g/m². Outdoor growers will see a similar amount, and it'll be ready to harvest in October with up 1kg of buds per plant as your reward. That's certainly not a bad haul for a plant that barely reaches 150cm in height.
Once dried and cured, the piles of buds from your Bubba Kush plants are yours to make the most of. They're fast to give off sweet, earthy and diesel-like aromas once you hold them in your hands. The taste of Bubba Kush follows the scent perfectly, coming in with rich, earthy tones that are backed up with a sweet, sugary flavour. Along with this rich and nuanced flavour profile, Bubba Kush also provides a high that offers an initial euphoric buzz that settles into a relaxing vibe. Whether smoked or vaped, this is a strain of choice when you want to kick back and enjoy your night.

TOP !
2/2 gekeimt , gewachsen und verköstigt... Lecker schmecker !!
Pretty good
Grew her in a 114L growbag outdoors, topped and scrog. Salt based nutes from plagron, she was a bit finnicky on the nutes never pushed her higher then 1.8 EC else burn would show up. Ended up chopping her a bit early because of rot in the stem (thanks to my dog for breaking 2 branches in veg while I was at work, branches recovered but the holes never did). Smell is a bit pungent with some piny notes, smoke is smooth and has a nice taste with a sweet exhale. Overall loved to grow her seeing all the buds above the net was a sight to behold, would reccomend
Merci Zamni
A lot of variation, doesn't resemble the katsu cut of bubba kush (a well known good version)
I got a green pheno type that hermied at day 35 (only one in the tent to hermi, the other strains reached 70 days of flower no problem), however it seemed to have a lot of resin and good for extractions if it would not have hermied. The smell reminded of a grassy hindu kush.
I got a purple pheno, where the buds are full 100% purple since the start of flower, and the leaves are 'normal green'. I took this pheno to day 84 of 12/12 for the trichomes to be 'ripe enough', with a bit of amber here and there. Yield was average for the plant size, pretty easy to grow. The flowers have a humid earth smell, with a weird caramelized apple + metallic smell. When smoking you mainly get the humid earth taste. The ash is very white and fluffy so growing went well. The effect is comfortably but also body numbing in a funny/particular way (hits different people differently): for me my knees 'give out' and become all weak and tired, nearly feels like I'm getting slight cramps but no pain ofcourse :D And if I lie down the I fall asleep pretty fast, but it won't knock me out cold while standing, and not really couch lock other than that the body feels weak (but mentally still ok to assemble to motivation to move).
Overall I think this is a bad representation of bubba kush, the flowers are not bad but not in any way comparable to the katsu cut of bubba kush (or maybe I got unlucky 2x with the phenotypes...).
