You can connect this 5l mini pressure keg to a beer tap system such as the Party Star Deluxe or the Beer King. It is also useful for second keg fermentation. The keg comes with a special reusable rubber plug.

HOW TO DO A 2ND FERMENTATION IN A KEG

If you’re brewing your own beer, you can do a second fermentation in the keg. This way, you can get the same natural carbonation as with bottled beer.

The method is pretty much the same as for bottles: You dissolve a maximum of 3g of sugar/litre in a small quantity of beer or water. Pour it into the keg and then transfer your beer so that everything is mixed well.

Keep the keg standing upright for several days at ambient temperature so that the second fermentation in the keg can take place. Afterwards, put the keg into a cool location for clearing and maturing of your beer. Ideally, you want to place the keg into a refrigerator so that your beer will have the correct temperature.

You can start tapping when your beer has completely cleared.
