The Velvet bean grows well in sandy soils where it requires a long growing season. In the Southeastern Coastal Plain, Velvet beans are often grown for late summer pasturage and soil improvement. All parts of the plant, including the seeds and the leaves can be used. Velvet beans come in a variety of colours, including white, black, brown, and spotted.

Muy monas las judiitas. Las tengo en la nevera y aún no tengo con quien probarlas pero pienso sembrar alguna. Igual me las preparo con unas pintas y un codillo este invierno. A ver si encuentro la partenair que las acompañe.

The seeds are very hard, i tried to swallow some of them after dividing them in pieces (not too small) but i didnt really got any effect. Still trying to figure out what's the best way to use them.
