White Label backcrossed the famous Gelato 33 with their original Durban and a Hindu Kush. Returning Gelato to her Afghani and African roots, they were able to improve the potency and flavour of the famous Cali strain, and have finally made this previously “clone only” variety available in seed form.

Gelato #420 is a 60% indica hybrid that grows characteristically robust, but with pronounced sativa traits as well. One such example is her massive stretch; the plant can triple its height in the first weeks of bloom. Because of that, growers are recommended to keep her vegetative phase short. Grown outdoors, where the plant does best in a warm climate, you can keep her in check by planting a little later. Grown indoors, the plant is a good candidate for low-stress training, pruning, and ScrOG. SOG is less optimal as much of her yield comes from her multiple side branches. She flowers in a short 8 to 11 weeks, churning out medium yields in both settings.

The buds of Gelato #420 don’t give off much of a scent as they grow; but once dried and cured, they develop a full and complex aroma. Blending hints of mint, citrus, and vanilla from her Kush side with incense, hash, sandalwood, and aniseed from the Durban Poison, every note comes together to form a rich connoisseur's smoke.

Gelato #420 is immensely potent. The smoker will enjoy a powerful indica body stone that, after some time, becomes elevated by a creative and energising head buzz, courtesy of her sativa side. Those who are not used to potent strains may want to take it slow when starting out with this strain.
