Royal Queen Seeds - Garlic Mist: Equal Parts Sativa And Indica

Garlic Mist descends from aromatic parent strains Original Garlic Bud and 100x100 Cali Sativa Haze. The progeny of these two contrasting cultivars features a perfectly balanced genetic profile of 50% indica genetics and 50% sativa, and a high that targets both the body and mind. Breeders wanted to create a variety for those moments when you struggle to choose between indica and sativa effects. Why not have both at the same time?

Original Garlic Bud was used to introduce indica genetics into the mix. She’s a classic cultivar from the 1990s that descends from the Afghani lineage. What’s more, aromas of musk, garlic, and spice render her flowers irresistible. Breeders used 100x100 Cali Sativa Haze to bring harmony to this sleepy high. The cerebral effects of this West Coast cultivar caused both strains to meet in the middle.

After the initial cross, the breeders loved what they saw (and smelled)! They proceeded to stabilise the progeny until they achieved a consistent phenotype. The strain emerged as a perfectly balanced specimen with a 50/50 genetic split.

Grown indoors, Garlic Mist produces a rewarding yield of up to 600g/m² after a flowering time of 8–9 weeks. She can be kept at a height of 90cm, and can easily be grown in a small closet. Plants cultivated outdoors produce up to 700g/plant, reach up to 180cm, and will be ready to trim during early October.

Garlic Mist produces tall and thick colas laden with resin-oozing trichomes. Upon smoking these buds, you’ll first experience an electric, cerebral high. These cognitive effects inspire creativity and will put you in the mood for playing music or writing down ideas. Soon after, an indica effect will come crashing down on the body. You’ll feel deeply relaxed and euphoric, but still alert.

A THC content of 19% drives Garlic Mist’s pleasant high. Plants synthesise the cannabinoid alongside a unique battery of terpenes. These aromatic molecules generate unusual but enjoyable scents and tastes of garlic, citrus, sweetness, and spice. Her flowers are particularly high in limonene—a terpene known for its anti-anxiety effects.
