Aztec Cactus (Aztekium ritteri) 20 seeds
Aztekium ritteri is native to the Nuevo Leon region of north-east Mexico. It was a sacred plant to the Tarahamara Indians. Much in the same way San Pedro or Peyote are sacred in other regions of Mexico and South America. Aztekium was named after its resemblance to the distinctive shapes of Aztec pyramids.

Zamnesia - Aztekium ritteri seeds: Challenging yet rewarding and sacred for a reason
Aztekium has 9 to11 wrinkled, man 'o' war shaped lobes. Each segment has a ridged spine of aureole that are tufted with wool. Meeting at the central crown they form a mirkin of knotted white. Although small each lobe or button readily offsets more buttons and will spread happily if not harvested. Only growing to five centimetres Aztekium produces tiny showy pink and white flowers throughout the summer months. They propagate best by seed and are a very rewarding species to grow. They can be a challenge for the inexperienced grower as the seedlings are tiny. However, the experienced gardener will certainly produce excellent results from these quality seeds.

ottima confezione, pianta difficile
I semi sono preparati e confezionati con molta cura. L'Aztekium è una pianta difficile da coltivare in generale e i suoi semi sono fra i meno germinativi, per cui non si può giudicare più di tanto la qualità. Il germinatoio è quasi obbligatorio.

Waiting for the spring to come.
none germinated
I have different cacti seeds, all of them are growing perfectly, but the aztec seeds aren't growing :(
No luck - but
Aztekium are notoriously difficult to germinate. I failed with 20 of these same as I failed with 120 from elsewhere. Not something for inexperienced growers.
